Flash-Aid is an extension designed to remove conflicting flash plugins from Ubuntu Linux systems and install the appropriate version according to system architecture.

Simple, fast, does what it's meant to do (and more). Fixed my flash problems. Oh.. and I also signed up to this site just to give this product 5 stars.
Works great on BT5R1-GNOME-64. Cheers!!
This solved all my problems with Adobe flash somehow using the gnash plugin and videos being messed up. It wouldnt allow me to execute from Firefox but worked fine once I exported to desktop. Thanks to the developer for putting in the time to help people out.
You fixed my Flash problems. I'm a recent Windows refugee so it was very helpful to have a plug-it-in-and-turn-it-on fix.
would be a nice complement but unfortunately did not work for me: 1) execution script did not work when trying to change user to root. In my case my HOME resides on network file system (AFS), which does not allow change to root user even providing the local root password (sudo). This may be solved using /tmp as the base directory to download the .tar.gz, instead of HOME 2) Even installed by hand, in my computer crashes or it is extremely slow, both the production and beta flash releases. My system: Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS 64 bit. Firefox 9.0.1. Any help is appreciated.
Brilliant!! After trying the sevenmachines solution and finding the download site locked, and finding all sorts of difficult to implement suggestions, this worked first time and very easily! Great addon for Ubuntu!
This is amazing. I spent 2 hours trying (unsuccessfully) to install flash and I am NOT a linux newbie. I signed up on this site purely to give you 5 stars.
All webgapps add-ons are free, but you can help the development making a small contribution.
